MediCall Receives ISAE 3402
PLEASANTON, California, July 1, 2011 (eReleases) – MediCall, the pioneering leader in the clinical services market, announced today that SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV), a member practice of Ernst & Young (EY) Global, has released their Independent Service Auditor's Assurance Report based on the International Standard on Assurance Engagement (ISAE) 3402. The report indicates SGV's reasonable assurance that MediCall's Information Technology General Controls System were suitably designed and implemented; control objectives were achieved and operated effectively during the period covered by the audit.
ISAE 3402 is the international standard for service companies as determined by the Assurance Reports on Controls at a Service Organization by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB). ISAE-3402 has replaced SAS 70 effective June 15, 2011, for control areas supporting outsourced services. MediCall as an early adopter once again is setting the industry standard on quality assurance through this rigorous audit process. The SGV audit provide a thorough review of forty-eight controls, including, access controls, incident management controls and mobilization controls. The ISAE 3402 international standard utilizes the same basis and is comparable to the US standard SSAE 16.
