The Philippines is the third largest English-speaking
country and the 12th most populous nation in the world. With over
300 accredited and strictly regulated nursing schools, it is also
the largest importer of U.S. Registered Nurses to the United States.
In 2005, out of the 21,500 foreign-trained registered nurses who
sat for the Certification Program Nurse Qualifying Exam, administered
by the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS),
55% were educated in the Philippines. Combine this with the exceptionally
caring, hardworking nature of its people, and the cultural similarities
with the US, and it's easy to see why MediCall identified the Philippines
as the ideal location for its Premier Health Services Center.
